I took my computer to a computer repair shop have it's Pheonix 6.0 PG bios updated to the latest bios (from Evga ) E756_83. I picked up the computer and checked the version I't still said Pheonix 6.0 PG.
I found some help at tToms Hardware on how to update the bios with a tool called Speccy. I tested Speccy on a older XP sys and it shows the correct bios that is loaded on that system. My question is: If the bios is correctly updated should it show after the update Pheonix 6.0 PG or something .83?
P.s. I did not try to update the X58 mb with Speccy because tomorrow i plan to give the computer repair shop people a chane to re-install the new bios. If i update the bios now i won't be able to prove to the shop that they did'nt do correctly.
